Lee Alex, British illusionist, translator and co-author of the book “Quick change” by Sven Schoppenhauer (Lex Schoppi) presents a unique quick change item for all performers. Effect The magician is seen wearing a normal Waistcoat, buttoned at the front and worn showing out from under an open jacket. The magician turns to his table to take a prop from the table top. Upon turning back to the audience the vest is seen to have changed color. This is repeated once more later in the programme, and a third time. This not only stands as a unique quick change effect on its own, but also may be performed as a novel running gag which may be repeated ad infinitum throughout a show. 3 colour changes; Red, White and Blue. The final effect of the Colour Changing Waistcoat is an amazing tranformation displaying the UNION JACK (alternatively the Stars and Stripes or red, white and blue stripes)! Do I have to perform all the colour changes? The “Colour Change Waistcoat” may be presented as a single, double, triple or quadruple colour change. You do not have to perform all the changes every time. Who can wear these waistcoats? These waistcoats are styled for men. Anyone may wear these waistcoats no matter what type of performance you present: manipulators, illusionists, children’s entertainers, close-up performers, clowns, jugglers; there are no limitations. The waistcoats are available in sizes “M” (jacket size 38 - 40), “L” (jacket size 42- 44) “XL”(jacket size 46-48) . Do I need special assistance to perform the waistcoat effects? The waistcoats are designed to be performed by the individual. It is possible in some cases to have the mechanism worked by an on stage assistant to bring about the effect. This is indicated in the description of the waistcoat. More ideas on this subject are presented in the instructions. Do I need any other equipment to perform the waistcoat effects? The waistcoats are self-contained and require little cover to bring about the effect. Some routines require a physical cover (material, confetti, flash etc.). We are able to supply your needs individually at extra cost if you request them from us. Do I need special lighting when I perform a waistcoat effect? In a word - NO! These effects are self-contained and require no special lighting to bring about the effect. We do however suggest that the lighting is strong and bright to give maximum effect and to bring out the beauty of the waistcoat. |
